draping and Inappropriate Remarks

Draping is required by Georgia Law while the client is undressed. Understand that any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by you towards the massage therapist will result in immediate termination of the session and you will be liable to pay the full price of treatment. Authorities will be contacted as needed.

massage

The massage therapy and bodywork you receive is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension. If you experience any pain or discomfort during the session, please immediately inform the therapist so that the pressure and/or techniques may be adjusted to your level of comfort.

Massage therapy and bodywork should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Massage therapists are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such.

Cupping

Cupping marks may occur from Modern Cupping Therapy© treatment due to the release of old stagnation and/or toxicity within the tissues. These marks are not bruises and are not permanent. Cupping therapy can have a dehydrating effect on the body, so it is important to hydrate well before and after treatment.  Learn more about cupping therapy here.

health information

Your personal health information will be collected prior to receiving massage therapy. All information provided will be kept strictly. Your medical information may be shared by the various care providers involved in your care and treatment plan, but will not be shared without your explicit consent. Please be assured that anything you discuss with your massage therapist during a session is kept confidential as well.

client responsibility

You are considered an active part of your treatment and will be expected to actively participate in the self-care work suggested by your massage therapist.

Massage should not be performed under certain medical conditions, you are responsible for informing your massage therapist of all known medical conditions that you may have and are responsible for answering all health intake questions honestly.

You are responsible for keeping your massage therapist updated of any changes in your medical profile during the session and there shall be no liability on the massage therapists part should you fail to do so.

The licensed massage therapist reserves the right to refuse to perform massage on anyone whom he/she/they deems to have a condition for which massage is contraindicated and could potentially harm the client.

Minor Consent

Clients under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian is required to fill out the minor consent form and health intake form before the session can take place. Failure to do so will result in the session being cancelled. A brief explanation of what to expect during a session will be given to gain verbal consent from the client and parent or legal guardian before the start of the session. Parents and legal guardians are welcome to stay in the treatment room during the session should the client and/or guardian prefer that option.

Cancellation and no-call/no-show fee

A 50% deposit is required to schedule any session. No-call/no-show appointments and last minute cancellations (cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of appointment time) will incur a cancellation fee, resulting in the missed appointment being paid in full. Charges will be sent through email and/or text message for payment via credit card. Payment must be received before further treatments can be scheduled.

Emergencies will be exempt on a case by case basis.

Late arrivals will result in shortened appointment time; arriving 20+ minutes late will result in the session being cancelled and a cancellation fee will be applied. Repeated no-call/no-show and late arrivals will result in future appointments being prepaid in full. Any unpaid fees will need to be paid before further sessions can be scheduled.

In the event the licensed massage therapist has to reschedule an appointment on short notice, the deposit will be refunded or applied to the next appointment and clients will be given an additional 10% off for the next appointment.

Although your credit card information is secured in an online protected client file, and is unlikely to be tampered with, you are assuming the risks when scheduling online if your file and credit card information is compromised.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding charges to your account, you are responsible for contacting us for assistance.
